tonight, on twilight, i went on a dog walk, but also to photo a few xmas decorations locally. the lighting for the photos is not good but the general drift is there.
these photo were inspired by the question as to whether us aussies decorated with northern hemisphere snow type symbols...or not.
my neighbourhood is putting on a pretty good display of xmas decorations i think but i didnt have the energy to walk to them all as it was soooo hot
i have included two photos of the only blue tongue i have seen so far that was just outside my bedroom door.
i do NOT have a photo of the very large python that i saw smack in the middle of the road out last week.!!! busily moving from one house yard to another it seemed.
gives me the creeps to think about it..... given its size .
that i do wish i had been brave enough to stop and photo with my phone.
sort of looks pregnant so that is good. might get a few babies in the area
street practise on the
equipment that is installed for fighting bush fires
a kooka on my clothes line. they are usually at the back door after food but the dog is starting to worry them i think
some of my agapanthus at the front. i have not watered them so they wont last long
down the street
dead santa
a house that looks great all lit up.
car decoration
a yard with a huge collection of decorations including a santa climbing
the chimmney on the right
some white reindeer sitting in the dry muclch of a very aussie front yard
a snow man and something with "M" on his stomach sitting in the street
a well decorated house on a corner
the santa is alive on the lawn but the one on the chimney, if you look closely, has been attacked by the local magpies the owners said. his head is all fallen to the side :-(((
some car decorations that are very northern hemisphere inspired
poor santa is all broken
